The Workplace Relations Commission found that care assistant Nuria Carrero Gonzalez had not shown she was treated less favourably because of her sexual orientation or gender. The decision, dated 18 July 2024, dismissed her equality complaint against Caspian Bmp Limited. Carrero Gonzalez’s form alleged sexual-orientation discrimination and said she worked more than male colleagues because she was a woman. She had been dismissed before completing probation. The officer said her later concerns about wages, breaks, hours and other working conditions related to other employment laws and were outside the equality complaint being decided.
