The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Eddie Rockets Ireland Limited to pay Nadine Lattimore €5,000 after finding the restaurant discriminated against her on the disability ground. The decision, dated 22 November 2024, concerned an incident at its Parnell Street branch.

Lattimore said a server directed her and her guide dog to a table by the entrance and refused her request to sit further inside, citing concern the dog might distress other customers. The company accepted its staff member’s actions contravened the Equal Status Act, apologised and said it had taken remedial steps. The WRC also encouraged the company to consider guide-dog welcome signs at restaurant entrances.
