The Workplace Relations Commission found that Capel Abbey Limited unfairly dismissed Emma Bell and ordered it to pay her €16,153.76 for gross financial loss. The decision was dated 28 April 2025.
Bell said she resigned after raising concerns about being asked to attend property inspections and sign leases on the landlord’s behalf, and said the company did not address her concerns. Capel Abbey denied pushing her out and said the lease work fell within her duties. The adjudication officer found that the company failed to respond to or investigate Bell’s written grievance, and that its conduct caused the constructive dismissal.
