WRC dismisses Claire Conlon’s discrimination complaints against adjudicator

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) dismissed two Equal Status complaints by Claire Conlon against WRC adjudication officer Pat Brady, finding it had no jurisdiction to investigate them. The decision was dated 16 January 2025. Conlon alleged discrimination during an earlier WRC hearing. The adjudication officer found Brady had been performing a statutory quasi-judicial function, which was not a public service covered by the Equal Status Acts, and dismissed the complaints as misconceived. No award was recorded.
