The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Maria Puisor’s three complaints against Automatic Amusements Ltd, finding no gender discrimination and that her penalisation complaint was not well founded. The decision was dated 21 January 2025. Puisor alleged unequal pay because male colleagues received increases, and discrimination in the employer’s handling of a customer who abused her. She also said a final written warning was penalisation for a health and safety complaint. The WRC found no evidence that a male comparator earned more for the same work; it also found the warning came after her complaint was referred and no earlier detriment was shown.
