The Workplace Relations Commission found that Bernardo Daniel Amador Mata was unfairly dismissed by Soleshine Ltd t/a Umi Falafel and awarded him €13,637 for losses arising from his dismissal. The decision was dated 11 July 2025.
Mata told the hearing he was dismissed without explanation and did not receive notice. The company did not attend the hearing or provide a written response. The adjudication officer said the complaint was well-founded in the absence of contrary evidence and assessed losses including unpaid wages and annual leave, reduced earnings and lost pension and other entitlements.
