The decision, dated 4 June 2024, followed a dispute over whether Guo had resigned immediately or given a week’s notice. The WRC found Guo’s email met the contract’s written notice requirement and that he was entitled to the week’s pay. It also found he had contributed to the initial confusion over the resignation notice.
