The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Miniso Ireland Limited to pay Ryan McAuley €9,750 compensation for unfair dismissal and €26 in unpaid wages. Adjudication Officer Jim Dolan found the dismissal unfair in a decision dated 4 March 2025.
McAuley said he had not been warned about performance concerns or given a fair process or an appeal before his dismissal. Miniso did not attend the hearing. Dolan found McAuley had been dismissed without an opportunity to prepare for the meeting, have a representative present or appeal. The €26 award concerned two unpaid hours worked on his final day.
