The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Pierce Parker’s discrimination complaint over the end of his temporary research role at University College Dublin. The decision, dated 28 November 2024, says the complaint was misconceived, vexatious or made in bad faith. Parker alleged discrimination on grounds including race and gender, and victimisation. UCD said the role required on-site work and the active campus ban meant he could not perform it. The officer found no evidence of discrimination and said UCD ended the role because the ban remained in place. The complaint is listed under the Employment Equality Act, while the Decision section cites the Equal Status Acts for dismissal.
