The Workplace Relations Commission found Wei Luo’s constructive dismissal complaint against Huawei Technologies Ireland Co., Limited was not well founded, and made no award. In a decision dated 10 September 2025, the WRC also ruled it had no jurisdiction over her age discrimination complaint because it was lodged outside the time limit, with no reasonable cause to extend it. Luo alleged discrimination and constructive dismissal, and initially claimed an unpaid bonus. The WRC said she had not tried Huawei’s internal grievance procedures before bringing the constructive dismissal complaint. She withdrew the bonus complaint at the hearing; Huawei had disputed that any wages were owed.
