The Workplace Relations Commission declared Vesna Markovic Radosevic’s Employment Equality Act complaint against Dundalk Institute of Technology not well founded in a decision dated 10 September 2024. She had alleged discrimination in training and other treatment on grounds including gender, family status and age. The adjudicator found that the course was not vocational training under the Act and that Radosevic, a full-time student rather than an employee, lacked standing to pursue the claim. The officer also found there was no jurisdiction to investigate a proposed Equal Status Act claim because required prior notice had not been given.
