The Workplace Relations Commission found a tenant’s discrimination complaint against Midlands Properties Limited not well founded, making no award. The decision, dated 16 May 2025, concerned allegations of discrimination on civil status, race and housing assistance payment grounds.
Irina Artemjeva alleged delayed repairs, intermittent water supply and harassment at her apartment. The company denied discrimination and harassment, said the apartment met housing authority requirements and attributed water interruptions to Irish Water. The adjudicator found the discrimination claim rested on speculation and that Artemjeva had not met the initial burden of proof.
