The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Layer Digital Solutions to pay Felicia Kiruba Rajasingh €15,583.32, less lawful deductions, after finding her wages complaint well founded. The decision was dated 18 April 2024.
Rajasingh said she worked for the company from 13 October 2022 until she was made redundant without notice on 29 May 2023. She told the WRC that she had not been paid her April or May salary, a month’s notice pay or payment for 12 days of accrued annual leave. She claimed €4,583.33 for each month’s salary, €4,583.33 for notice and €1,833.33 for holiday pay.
The company was notified of the hearing but did not attend. Based on Rajasingh’s uncontested evidence, the adjudicator found that the listed wages and entitlements had been withheld. The award covers the unpaid salary, notice pay and annual leave.
