The Workplace Relations Commission ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear Yong Yue Wang’s unfair dismissal complaint against Bus Atha Cliath - Dublin Bus because it was referred after the time limit. The merits were not decided. Wang, a bus driver since 2009, challenged his dismissal after an allegation he used his phone while driving. Dublin Bus said the dismissal was fair and followed an investigation, disciplinary hearing and two appeals. The WRC decision was dated 20 March 2024.
