WRC rejects Lisa Lennon’s constructive dismissal complaint against Orbcomm Ireland

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) found that Lisa Lennon was not unfairly dismissed after she resigned from her role as a field service technician coordinator at Orbcomm Ireland Limited. The decision was dated 29 April 2024. Lennon said management changes, aggressive treatment, lack of support and unresolved work issues led her to resign. The company said she knew about its grievance procedures but had not used them to address her concerns. The officer criticised the company’s failure to provide clear grievance and harassment policies and noted there was no record of a return-to-work meeting. However, the officer found that poor communication and lack of support did not meet the high legal standard for constructive dismissal.
