McCarron worked for St. Johnston Retailers Ltd., a grocery and newsagent business, from 2010 until it ceased trading in October 2022. She received no redundancy payment and was not paid minimum notice. The decision said her redundancy entitlement was based on her insurable employment, service and gross weekly pay of €147.
