The Workplace Relations Commission found Dorinela Lipovanu’s unpaid-wages complaint well founded and directed Chapter 8 Traffic Management Limited Road Construction Company to pay her €2,694.19. Lipovanu worked as a general operative from July to November 2022. She said €4,393.17 was outstanding when her employment ended, and the company later paid her €1,698.98 in instalments. It accepted that further payments were due. The WRC decision, dated 8 November 2023, found that €2,694.19 remained due under the Payment of Wages Act 1991. The company did not attend the hearing.
