WRC rejects Parascovia Isac’s redundancy and notice complaints

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) rejected Parascovia Isac’s redundancy and minimum-notice complaints against Bidvest Noonan (RoI) Limited in a decision dated 15 November 2023. Isac sought redundancy payment after refusing an alternative cleaning job, saying its hours and duties differed from her previous role. The adjudication officer found the alternative post suitable, with similar duties and no great difficulty in reaching it. The officer concluded Isac was not entitled to redundancy payment; the minimum-notice complaint also failed after evidence showed proper notice had been paid.
