The Workplace Relations Commission found that Lorna Connolly resigned from her hairdressing job and was not unfairly dismissed. The decision was dated 29 August 2023. Connolly said she had not resigned and had not been told her role was ending. Carol Upton Peri Upton Hair Design argued that she had left the job and that the complaint was out of time if her employment ended on 31 December 2019. The adjudication officer found that the employment contract ended by resignation on or about 31 December 2019. The complaint under the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977 was not well founded.
