The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Chirag Vinod Malhotra’s complaints against Allergy Standards Limited, finding that he was not penalised or unfairly dismissed for seeking parental leave and was not discriminated against. The decision was dated 8 April 2024. Malhotra said his dismissal followed requests for parental leave. The company said his sales performance was poor. The adjudicator found he had made no sales and that the evidence supported the company’s explanation: his failure to meet sales targets was the reason for dismissal. The complaints were not well founded, and no compensation was awarded.
