The Workplace Relations Commission found Serdar Goksel Sen’s complaint of race and religious discrimination against Specialised Air Products Ltd not well founded. Adjudication officer Ewa Sobanska issued the decision dated 20 January 2023.
Sen alleged discrimination in getting a job and in his employment conditions, as well as victimisation. The company denied the claims. The officer found Sen had no valid employment permit when he entered into the employment contract, making it unenforceable. She concluded that he could not bring a claim under the Employment Equality Act.
