The Workplace Relations Commission found Tinka Zapryanova’s nationality discrimination complaint against the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) not well-founded. The decision was dated 23 October 2023.
Zapryanova said the authority discriminated against her in handling a complaint about her former solicitor, including by disregarding evidence and failing to investigate her concerns. The LSRA denied discrimination and said she had not provided evidence establishing a case. The adjudication officer found that she had not identified a comparator, and that her accusations were unsupported. He was satisfied the authority followed its normal process. The complaint was brought under the Equal Status Act, 2000.
