Labour Court recommends Cork Education & Training Board process worker’s holiday-pay grievance

The Labour Court recommended that Cork Education & Training Board process a worker’s formal grievance about holiday-pay calculation from stage 3 of its procedure. The recommendation was dated 20 October 2023. The union said the employer had not followed its grievance procedure. The employer argued that the worker had not lodged a grievance and that the issue was collective; the union disputed that. The Court recommended that the parties proceed in line with the employer’s commitment to process a formal grievance from stage 3.
