WRC finds worker’s bullying and harassment dispute not well founded

The WRC found a senior executive’s bullying and harassment dispute against an employer not well founded after she had not exhausted internal procedures. The recommendation was dated 5 April 2023. The worker alleged bullying and harassment by managers and HR staff. The employer disputed the allegations and said it had investigated an earlier complaint and offered mediation and a formal grievance process. The adjudication officer noted that the worker had not appealed the earlier investigation or used the formal grievance process for her other complaints. The officer said the internal procedures had not been exhausted and did not determine whether the alleged conduct occurred.
