The Workplace Relations Commission found four complaints by housekeeper Lorraine O'Driscoll against Triplett Limited not well founded. The decision, dated 21 August 2023, concerned her work at the company's guesthouse. O'Driscoll said she understood she had been dismissed after being told to “sling her hook” and said she had not received her final week's salary. Triplett Limited denied dismissing her, saying she went home upset and chose not to return. The adjudication officer found that O'Driscoll had not established that she was dismissed. The decision also cited payroll evidence of her final salary, which had been sent to her solicitor without a response. The complaints under the Unfair Dismissals Act, Terms of Employment (Information) Act, Payment of Wages Act and Organisation of Working Time Act were all found not well founded.
