The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Mary O'Donoghue’s Equal Status Act complaint against Clare County Council, finding the facts did not fall within the services or accommodation covered by the Act. Adjudication Officer Janet Hughes dated the decision 1 May 2025. No award was made.

O'Donoghue alleged discrimination on Traveller and race grounds, disability discrimination, failure to provide reasonable accommodation and harassment. The complaint concerned the Council replacing blocks at the entrance to Council-owned land where her family had placed a caravan without permission, restricting access and exit. The Council said it restored its blocks after the unauthorised occupation. The officer dismissed the complaints as frivolous; a time-limit objection by the Council was also dismissed.
