The Workplace Relations Commission found Ashley Moran’s disability discrimination complaint against Bus Eireann - Irish Bus not well founded. The decision was dated 25 April 2023.
Moran alleged that the company failed to reasonably accommodate him during two bus incidents. For the first, the adjudication officer found the driver did not know Moran had a disability when he boarded and said the company’s actions were objectively justified on public health grounds. For the second incident, the officer found Moran pushed onto the bus and that the driver refused him travel because of abusive behaviour towards the driver. The officer found no prima facie disability discrimination in either incident.
