WRC dismisses 27 complaints against Heather Humphreys

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed 27 complaints brought by Professor (Dr) Joseph Chikelue Obi against Heather Humphreys (DSP-Minister), finding them misconceived and incorrectly based in law. The decision was dated 13 February 2023. Obi said he was self-employed and linked the claims to his Pandemic Unemployment Payment application. The respondent disputed the claims and said he had never been an employee. The WRC noted there was no employment relationship and no indication that he had been a prospective employee or job applicant. It dismissed the claims under statutory powers after finding them misconceived and incorrectly based in law.
