The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Invictus Event Management and Consultancy Ltd. T/A Isecure to pay William Garcia €518.15 in outstanding gross wages. The WRC decision, dated 13 January 2023, also found his separate minimum notice complaint not well founded because he had fewer than 13 weeks’ service. Garcia said he worked for a few days as a security officer on a film set in March 2022 and was let go because security cover had been duplicated. He said he was not paid despite receiving payslips. The company accepted that wages were outstanding but denied terminating his employment. It argued that, even if his employment had ended, he was not entitled to statutory minimum notice pay because he had worked for less than 13 weeks.
