The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear William Mckeever’s unfair dismissal and terms-of-employment complaints against Pfp Ireland High Performance Systems Limited, after refusing to replace the named employer with PF Fire Systems Ireland Limited. The decision was dated 7 March 2023. Mckeever said he worked as a fire proofer for the employer from January 2020, earning €700 a week, and was dismissed in December 2021. The named company said he had never been its employee. The adjudication officer found the alleged correct employer had not been put on notice and that the naming error was not clerical. The six-month time limit to bring complaints against that employer had also expired. The merits were not decided.
