The Workplace Relations Commission found Carl Davidson’s age discrimination complaint against Amari Ireland Limited was not well founded. The decision was dated 29 January 2024. Davidson said Amari discriminated against him by refusing to extend his employment after his one-year post-retirement contract ended. He had worked for the company since 1994. Amari said his contract set a normal retirement age of 65 and that it had already granted him a one-year extension. The adjudication officer found no discrimination, so the complaint failed.
