WRC finds no jurisdiction over Seamus Hayes complaints against Eir

The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Seamus Hayes’s unfair dismissal and two transfer of undertakings complaints against Eir because they were brought outside the time limits. The decision was dated 21 February 2023; the merits were not decided. The WRC found that Hayes’s employment ended on 30 June 2020 and that the transfer of undertakings took place in 2019. It said he had not given reasonable cause for the delay in bringing the remaining complaints. Hayes withdrew his separate Employment Equality Act complaint at the hearing.
