WRC rejects Adam Higgins’s constructive dismissal complaint against Cross Vetpharm Group Limited Zoetis Tallaght

The Workplace Relations Commission found Adam Higgins was not unfairly dismissed after he resigned from Cross Vetpharm Group Limited Zoetis Tallaght. The decision was dated 5 January 2023. Higgins said workplace and grievance procedure problems had undermined trust and confidence, leaving him no option but to resign. The company said it offered suitable shifts, sought occupational health input and tried to resolve matters through conciliation and mediation. The adjudicator found the employer had tried to help Higgins return to work and resolve the dispute. The grievance process did not amount to unfair procedures, and Higgins had not explored all available ways to resolve matters before resigning. The complaint was not well founded.
