WRC dismisses Pierce Parker’s racial discrimination complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Pierce Parker’s racial discrimination complaint against Pedro J Camargo Sales Manager as misconceived. The decision was dated 24 August 2022. Parker said the house manager tried to evict him after he reported to gardaí that a visitor had racially abused him. The WRC said a complainant had to establish that he sought access to a service available to the public generally and was discriminated against on a protected ground. The officer dismissed the claim under section 22 of the Equal Status Acts.
