The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Jelena Lune’s unfair dismissal and Sunday pay complaints against We Clean It Cleaning Solutions Limited. The decision was dated 2 March 2023. Three other complaints were withdrawn. Lune, an office administrator, challenged her dismissal during probation and said she had worked 48 Sundays without a supplement. The adjudicator found the company had extended her probation, followed its procedures and dismissed her for poor performance. The Sunday pay claim was also dismissed after the adjudicator found there was not enough information to support it and noted that her contract provided for Sunday hours to be paid at the normal hourly rate.
