The WRC ordered Small Changes Wholefoods Store to pay Janice Rose Doyle €706.25 after finding it unlawfully deducted that sum from her pay. The decision was dated 10 May 2022. Doyle said the store deducted 40 hours’ pay from her holiday pay when she resigned. She said she had agreed to work through lunch and finish earlier, but had not been told this would affect her holiday pay. The store said she had been told the change would affect her holiday entitlement. The adjudication officer found Doyle’s evidence more cogent and compelling.
