The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed paramedic Frank Greaney’s disability discrimination complaint against the Health Service Executive, finding he had not established a case of discrimination. The decision was dated 13 October 2023.
Greaney sought non-driving duties while temporarily restricted from driving. The HSE said occupational health had deemed him fit for modified duties without driving from 12 August 2020. The officer found the HSE had tried to consult about suitable duties, but the discussion did not take place through no fault of the HSE. A duplicate complaint was withdrawn.
