The Workplace Relations Commission awarded David Allman €808 for unfair dismissal, €404 over unpaid annual leave, €404 for missing written employment particulars and €808 for minimum-notice breach. Adjudication Officer Úna Glazier-Farmer dated the decision 9 December 2024. The WRC found Padraig McCarthy, trading as The Half Way Bar, dismissed Allman when the pub reopened without rostering him, after he had raised concerns about reduced wages and unpaid entitlements. McCarthy denied dismissing him. The WRC also found that €2,150 in annual-leave pay remained due after rejecting claimed deductions. A duplicate wages complaint was withdrawn.
