The WRC found that cleaner Irina Zolnerovica resigned from Emerald Facility Services and was not entitled to redundancy pay or pay in lieu of notice. Her wages and holiday pay were paid after the hearing, and the company had no further liability for either claim. Adjudication Officer Patricia Owens dated the decision 20 December 2021. Zolnerovica had claimed redundancy pay and two weeks’ notice pay after the cleaning contract transferred. The company said it offered her alternative work and that she resigned; it accepted that wages and holiday pay were outstanding while awaiting information needed to pay them.
