WRC rejects Teacher’s gender discrimination complaint over class reassignment

The Workplace Relations Commission found a Teacher’s gender discrimination complaint against a Board of Management not well founded. The decision was dated 20 May 2022. She said she was treated less favourably when she was moved from sixth class to resource teaching and a male Teacher took the sixth-class role. The adjudicator found no material detriment compared with the male Teacher, who was also assigned to his third-choice class. The complaint was dismissed.
