The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Marek Urbanek €6,652.32 for unfair dismissal and €1,100 in statutory notice pay after finding that Marcin Gackowski Motors Limited t/a MG Motors dismissed him without fair procedures. Urbanek worked as a mechanic for the company from June 2017 until August 2019. He said he was dismissed without an investigation and did not receive notice. The WRC found he was entitled to two weeks’ statutory notice. Adjudication Officer Emer O'Shea dated the decision 14 December 2021.
