The Workplace Relations Commission recommended €12,000 compensation for a duty manager whose dismissal it found denied her natural justice. It also ordered the Licensed Premises Company to pay €1,346 compensation for failing to provide written employment terms on time. The decision was dated 5 November 2020.

The manager said she was dismissed without a reason or proper procedures. The company said it had raised concerns about glass presentation and bar cleanliness. The adjudication officer found the employer had not rebutted her account and that she had not been given a reason or offered representation. The €12,000 was recommended as full and final settlement of the unfair dismissal claim.

On the written-terms complaint, the officer accepted the company's explanation that a date on the DocuSign contract had been misread because of US date formatting. The contract was received on 5 July 2019 and signed on 7 July, but still arrived outside the two-month deadline; there was also no evidence that core terms were provided within five days. The officer found the complaint well founded and ordered €1,346 compensation.
