The Workplace Relations Commission found a Receptionist’s Payment of Wages Act complaint against a Facility Management Solutions Provider not well founded. The decision was dated 30 September 2019. The worker alleged €78.35 in unpaid wages, unpaid overtime and challenged a €9.75 deduction for a damaged security badge. At the hearing, she accepted that her accrued annual leave had been paid. The Adjudication Officer found the employment contract allowed the deduction and that the worker had not shown she was required to work overtime. The Officer accepted the employer’s evidence that its client had not requested overtime.
