The WRC ordered a company to pay a social media designer €600 compensation for unpaid wages. Adjudication Officer Patsy Doyle dated the decision 6 April 2018. The designer said she agreed to work 10 hours a week at €12 an hour, but the company fell behind on payments and stopped paying her. The company did not file a response or attend the hearing. The WRC accepted that she had received three payments of €240 and that her pay stopped without notice. It found the non-payment was an unlawful deduction and upheld her complaint.
