A social worker’s constructive dismissal complaint failed after the WRC found it was not reasonable for her to resign without using the employer’s grievance process. The decision was dated 8 May 2017. The worker had spent 23 years in a domestic abuse service. She said incidents at work had damaged her trust in management. The employer said she had not used its internal grievance route. The adjudicator found that the employer had acted reasonably and that the worker had not shown why using the grievance process would have been futile.
