The WRC awarded a dentist €2,578.48 after finding that a dental practice had constructively dismissed her. In a decision dated 11 May 2017, it also ordered €3,901.52 for unpaid wages and unlawful deductions, and €1,250 for failing to provide a written contract. The worker said she was owed three months’ wages and had faced unlawful deductions. The practice did not attend the hearing, but its accountant later supplied payslips and holiday records. The WRC found the dentist had not been paid €2,733 gross wages and awarded compensation for accountancy and dental-registration deductions and six public holidays. It found the holiday-pay and indemnity-insurance complaints failed. The WRC also found the practice’s conduct unreasonable, making her resignation reasonable.
