The WRC found that a shop assistant was not unfairly dismissed for pregnancy-related reasons after accepting the employer’s evidence that it did not know she was pregnant. The decision was dated 17 May 2017. The worker said she told her manager about her pregnancy and believed the dismissal was connected to it. The retail store said it dismissed her after concerns about her probationary performance and absences. The WRC rejected the complaint.
