Warehouse operative’s disability discrimination complaint fails

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC rejected a warehouse operative’s complaint that his employer discriminated against him over a verbal warning, reasonable accommodation and victimisation. The decision was dated 15 February 2017. The officer found the warning was issued under the employer’s attendance policy and followed an appeal process. He said the worker had not provided convincing evidence of discrimination, while the employer offered credible contradictory evidence. The officer also found the employer’s policies and procedures were robust.
