Labour Court upholds recommendation for Shinko Micro Electronics Limited in worker's appeal

The Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's appeal and upheld a Rights Commissioner's recommendation concerning a general operative at Shinko Micro Electronics Limited. The decision was signed on 18 June 1999. The union alleged the worker was pressured and harassed during an extended illness and unfairly excluded from the company's long-term disability plan. Shinko said it reviewed her absence and expected her to recover and return to work. The Court found no reason to alter the recommendation.
