The Labour Court recommended that Arnotts PLC’s £400-per-worker offer to Services Industrial Professional Technical Union members be treated as adequate compensation for disruption during renovations. The union had sought £1,000 for each member. The Court said the maximum payment offered was significantly above amounts paid for similar disruption and adequately reflected the inconvenience. Its recommendation was signed on 18 June 1999.
